    Put your master Lego builder skills to the test! The Douglas County Public Library will be hosting a Lego Build on Tuesdays from June 12 through August 7 at the Minden Library. Listen to a story and recreate it using Lego bricks.

    Lego bricks and building materials will be provided by the library. Lego Build Tuesdays are for children ages four and up.

  6. READing Paws Summer Edition

    June 21, 2018, 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM

    During the summer, a READing Paws therapy dog will be available at the Minden Library every Thursday between 10:30 and 12:00.

    Children of all ages and reading levels are invited to read with a registered therapy dog and the dog’s handler. Each child will spend 15 minutes with a dog. Time slots are available on a first come, first serve basis. Parental permission is required, and permission forms are available at the library. This program is offered in partnership with READing Paws, a local affiliate of Intermountain Therapy Animals.

  7. Heritage Quest Training for Genealogists and Historians at the Library

    The Minden Library will be providing a six-week class on how to use the library’s Heritage Quest database for family and historical research. From June 14 to July 26, professional genealogist Yvonne Prettyman will teach the six-week class on Thursdays at the Minden Library from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

    The Douglas County Public Library is providing a free class on how to draw and create with 3D printing pens at the Minden Library on Monday, June 25 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and at the Zephyr Cove Library on Thursday, June 28 from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Pre-registration is required.
