  1. Cover to Cover Club Reading Program Begins!

    March 7, 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM @ Minden & Lake Tahoe Branches

    We are pleased to join with In-N-Out Burger® for their Cover to Cover Club reading program from March 7 to April 18, 2013. Children ages four to twelve are eligible to receive certificates for a free In-N-Out® hamburger or cheeseburger by reading books. Both branches of the library are participating in the program.

    Children must fill out a file card at the library to enroll in the program. Readers will earn an Achievement Award redeemable for an In-N-Out® hamburger for every five books read at their reading level. Each participating child may earn up to three award certificates. Children too young to read on their own may have a parent read to them.

  5. READing Paws® Program ~ Library

    The library is excited to be participating in the READing Paws® Program, an affiliate of Reading Education Assistance Dogs®. A handler and their dog will work with children on a one-on-one basis. Children in first through third grades may sign up for a 15-minute session to read to a READing Paws® dog. There is no charge for this program.

    Parents must complete a permission form for each child who participates. Permission forms may be filled out in person at the library or printed from the library’s website.

    READing Paws® is dedicated to improving the reading skills of children using certified therapy teams as literacy mentors.
